San Francisco’s psych-rock scene sends some love Berlin-way in the shape of Wooden Shjips, the best shape of all. “Outta my head” from their recent Vol. 2 record is one my favourite songs of the moment proving that they’re not just into the heavyness of it all and have a lighter side. As a live prospect they are loud, very loud but given it’s a triple bill line-up chances are they’ll come out and deliver a compact not-too-long set of psych-rock brilliance. Add a little smoke to the mixture and we have the makings of a blissed-out summer-stoner evening!! Hurray for summer. Hurray for San Francisco’s psych-rock scene. And hurray for us again.
