It’s not that it feels like it’s ever really going to shut down but it’s just that there’s always some drama that they’re dealing with. The long suffering campers at Schokoladen always seem to be dealing with some shit, neighbours complaints or council restrictions, add to that needing money to aid in running costs.
Aiding however they can with this last one, Berlin kraut/post-rock duo Wonga (previously), along with their friends Cometa Khao play a soli-konzert for Schokoladen, raising funds to help them make ends meet. Which is good for the venue and good for us, since Wonga are an ace band who you should definitely check out if you haven’t already.
