These guys are always popular here, obviously in part because they’re (unfortunately) one of the few relatively recent indie bands to make it out of the German market, but also because they’re utterly lovely and people really adore them.
The Notwist once again softly command the stage at Huxley’s for a night of luxurious indie-pop goodness.
You might have noticed the title and realised that it’s a special gig, and it is. They’ll be playing on the night their break-out album Neon Golden in it’s entirety. Playing albums whole definitely seems to be the fashion lately and is completely fine with us, even if it does remove some of the mystery enjoyed when you first walk into the gig. But still completely fine. Really.
The other reason that the concert is special, or more special, or specialer if you will, is that there is, for a certain and very select few of you, free entry. Since the Notwist cancelled late off the bill from the City Slang 20th Birthday showcase last year, they’re inviting ticket holders from the cancelled performance to make this one for free. Such is their kindness.
If you have ticket for the Friday 19th November 2010 City Slang show, and you have put your name on the door list here: http://www.cityslang.com/notwisthuxleys/, then you get entry to the January 27th 2011 gig for free.
Simple and fair. We like that. …and we like this, here’s a number from Neon Golden, a fave for many, Pilot is the title…
