“The Almighty Wire was formed in Berlin in Spring/2010, in an attempt to rally like-minded musicians, fashion designers, video artists and djs who shared a specific aesthetic that can only be described as Post Wave. Musically our bands share similar influences ranging from Post-Punk, New/No Wave and early Industrial to Shoegaze and experimental noise. The designers are intimately linked with the performers, as are the video and installation artists who work together to put on cohesive, collaborative events.
The Almighty Wire has had 4 events to date and is in the process of organizing more events as well as producing a compilation album to be released this year”.

Tonight’s line-up includes They Shoot Horses, Zorro Zensur and apparently Ditto Destroyer although they’re not on the flyer but they reassure us they are on stage that night and after their New Yorck 59 show a couple of weeks ago at Bethanien this is one we’re looking forward to. They Shoot Horses can do no wrong in my book so I’ll be the groupie up front, the male groupie, the one who looks like he should know better and does but doesn’t care. Zorro Zensur will hopefully bring along the underpants-clad male-dancer, that should keep 2 happy, eh Dan? Or the girls maybe. But probably mostly the boys will dig it.
It’s refreshing to see a group of like-minded people getting together and supporting each other, putting on shows, collaborating and above all trying to have some fun. I’m already looking forward to Nacht_6.
