With her second album in the works and a bunch of other little projects on the side, it’s about time you discovered Kat Frankie is you haven’t already. Developing her songwriting since a very young age, working her way to renown in her native Sydney and since then living here in Berlin, the material has easily out grown it’s original inspirations, PJ Harvey et al, and become important and memorable in it’s own right.
The gig’s on at Aufsturz in Mitte, which is an interesting place since it’s got it’s own fully featured recording studio attached. Bands who’ve recorded there have got their CDs for sale behind the bar, so it’s a great chance for you to pick up some recordings of true blue Berlin bands. And take them home and love them. That’s part of the deal.
