Pop-songstress Gemma Ray plays her fantasy soundtrack Down Baby Down in its entirety for the first time ever tonight at the Imperial, part of the plush Admiralspalast building in Mitte. Gemma will be joined by Thomas Wydler (Bad Seeds) on drums, with whom she recorded this record, with her usual drummer Andy Zammit switching up to guitar and other bits ‘n pieces plus a varied orchestra of organs and wintery sounds provided by Wilhelm Stegmeier, Caoimhe McAlister, Maria Goja and Nikko Weidemann.
It all kicks off at 9pm sharp with Down Baby Down and then later after an interval Gemma will an exclusive and intimate set of brand new songs aswell as some old favourites including this, Runaway, off last year’s Island Fire record (Bronze Rat Records):
