Francois and his band of merry pranksters are finally breaking cover, after years of having been one of the most consistent performers as well as general good spirits of the burgeoning Bristol DIY scene. Having spent his time at the yellow house somewhere in the Bristol hills, filling diaries with water colors and tiny scribbling, animating elaborate music videos for himself and his friends, touring the world with the likes of Camera Obscura and Adrian Orange, and building up an impressive discography on any format imaginable, the (still) young artist decided to boldly make a move into the unknown. Upon moving back to his French homeland, leaving the Reggae Bars of the English west behind, he went straight to the Afro-Beat Bazaar, fusing a long-standing love for the sounds and rhythms of the African continent with his sensitive songwriting skills. The live shows of the last two years were pure revelation for those present, leaving the observers hardly time to observe, before they found themselves dancing into the eye of the whirlwind, where heavy percussion provides the bed-rock for melodic chants, sweet folk moments, happy melodies, and the general spirit of collective joy, celebrating one world and the multitudes of its musical styles.
