Delta Love play their first headlining show in Berlin at the Kugelbahn in Wedding tonight.
Carl (guitar/vocals/foot-organ) and Tilman (drums/vocals) have been winning over Berlin audiences with their unique combination of reverb-laden guitar, drums, vocals and foot-organ, a dizzyingly brilliant mix of 60s garage-psych and modern day psych bands like Sic Alps and Ty Segall.
Having sprung themselves upon unsuspecting crowds all over Berlin through support slots with Sic Alps, Deertick, several appearances at the esteemed Future Days nights, and regular shows at Antje Oklesund to mention but a few venues, Berlin’s finest lo-fi garage duo make their debut headlining appearance at Kugelbahn, recently voted the best bar in town by Berlin-Artparasites.
Last May they released their debut EP, Post Tempus, through the Smoky Carrot label in London. Including a reworked version of Backdoor from their first mini-LP/demo, From Under Your Kitchen Sessions, it also contains live favourite, I Swear, a sign of things to come from this talented duo.
The boys also make their debut festival appearance at Down By The River in Berlin this summer.
This is I Swear from the EP:
Here’s their debut video for Backdoor:
Temple arrive to Berlin from Copenhagen and will play a stripped down set of their excellent indie-rock sound which brings to mind The National among other names:
Temple is, above all, the sound of a different youth. A soaring encounter that wraps its listener in a veil of broken and intact dreams. Nils Bloch’s beautiful and overwhelming voice guides the traveler safely through a mutating landscape colored by ambient guitars, melodic bass lines, aching lap steel and wistful percussion.
The EP is produced by Michael Fischerson who has recently produced prominent Danish indie acts such as The New Spring and Kirsten og Marie.
