I was first introduced to Dead Meadow whilst lying in the sun on top of a picturesque mountain for the Nick Cave-curated All Tomorrow’s Parties Festival. A perfect first impression I might add, as not only were they one of the most highly coveted bands to play on that particular day, but their drawling music went perfectly with the lazy mood of the afternoon, evoking 1970s era psychedelia with their own brand of shoegaze rock.
Having previously toured with Black Mountain and sharing a label with the likes of Kurt Vile and Sonic Youth, you can probably get an idea of the kind of show you are in for.
