A very necessary component to any 80′s avant-garde record collection, David Sylvian‘s work with Japan wasn’t only a massive influence on lots of bands to come later, but on whole genres. The whole 90′s trip hop things would be precisely nowhere without what David Sylvian was doing.
Decades later he’s still going strong, now with his own label Samahdi Sound and working as a solo artist, but still being amazing and still existing as a living, breathing cultural artifact.
