They’ve been kicking around for two years and the general word is that U.S. act Cymbals Eat Guitars have done better than anyone expected, especially when you know that more than half the original lineup have changed through that period. In spite of that fact, or perhaps because of it depending on how you look at it, they’ve done far better than expected since their new album, Lenses Alien, has gotten a very decent amount of positive press from basically every corner. Not surprising since it is actually a really good listen for those,who like classic pop hooks with a healthy dash of hand wringing angst thrown in (but not teeth gnashing angst, that’s a completely different angst and a listen for another day), and there are plenty of us around.
Playing in the more than slightly prestigious Privatclub here in Berlin, the Cymbals Eat Guitars kids will be coming to Berlin during their January German tour running through three states. Tickets are only 15€ and you can grab them from the link below.
