Cloud Nothings literally started as a distraction and pastime for front man and singer Dylan Baldi, a fact that has always been somewhat evident in the band’s recordings up to this point. With the release of the new one, Attack On Memory, earlier this year, critics have been hailing a movement away from songwriting in the perspective of a bored college student to one that’s heavier sounding and possessed of murkier influences. It helps also that the album is a product of master producer Steve Albini, a man whose very mention lends a recording greater gravity.
With a new album comes of course a tour and what tour would it be without a stop here in Berlin. Thanks to the wonderful people at Queen About Music, Blitzgigs is giving away two double passes to see Cloud Nothings here in Berlin at Magnet Club.
