Bo Candy and his Broken Hearts hail from the beautiful eastern province of Brgenland and have been doing it better than most for years already having wowed crowds up and down europe as The Beautiful Kantine Band(1999-2008), leader Thomas Pronai has played with Charmant Rouge and Songs of Claire Madison as well as countless other bands in Vienna and surroundings and his Broken Hearts contain one Patrick Strbth, former member of The Staggers. Not to mention Pronai’s production credits with other bands……it’d take too long to get through.
Anyway, Pronai aka Mr.Kantine is now Bo Candy, has shed the sharp 60s suit, let the facial hair grow and sings in english. Musically it’s a new take on the old influences of surf, rock n’roll and blues but with more punch. Maybe it’s the addition of Strbth or maybe it’s the moustaches, who knows, it hits all the right spots and that’s what rock n’ roll is all about, getting it right.
