They’re really the ultimate indie pop band. Architecture in Helsinki. They’re certainly the first thing you reach for on a sunny Sunday morning when the air is fresh and you’re got a new favourite girl or boy or puppy or kitten or even an especially cuddly goldfish or whatever. But that’s just me.
They’re apparently quite popular with an audience that extends somewhat past the borders of the cuddly goldfish admiring set. Their gig is at Maria am Ostbahnhof and while it might not be the biggest room in town, it’s certainly far from being the smallest.
Their new album is almost ready and should be in stores sometime this month, probably before this show, it’s how things like this normally work. The title of the newy is Moment Bends and here’s the first single…
…I’m not sure how they got Robocop to take his armour off for long enough to shoot that film clip, but gut gemacht!
Tickets are 20€, supports are The Russian Futurists (Canada). Bring your favourite goldfish.
