Despite their neat name, I AM IN LOVE are anything but another comfort zone electro pop act. While their music essentially is a solid mix of eletronica, industrial and shoegaze elements (not unlike Breton), it is exceptionally dark and melancholic in places. Speaking about Proposal the band says that it “drags you to a lyrically lonely place of desperation and anguish before an uplifting second half would suggest a happy ending…but…she said No.”
Proposal is I AM IN LOVE’s debut UK single but they are hardly newcomers. Their self-released their debut album Of Regard And Affection in 2011 and they have since toured around Europe numerous times. Their sophomore album Raw Heart was just released in and Europe and was for the most part written in Leipzig, one of the band’s favourite places outside the UK.
Tubbe, a german electronica duo with funny lyrics, are also on the bill.
