Yesterday Shop are a young band based in Berlin and Hamburg and they are more than worth the trip to Potsdam. With the release of their self-titled debut album in November 2012 (via Trickser) they join the fold of promising shoegaze and new wave bands from Germany such as I Heart Sharks and In Golden Tears.
While the first single Paris Syndrom is a poppy but slightly melancholic danceable tune, Fat Man & Little Boy starts out slowly and develops into a guitar driven soundscape. Winter Act I is a ballad on which the vocalist stands out.
Their second album will be released in May.
