Species

Nicolas Chevreux (Ad Noiseam)

Monolog

Monolog’s music is complex. It’s extremely detailed and full of changes and breaks which force the listener to do constant double-takes. But it is also not experimentation of the sake of it, as Monolog focuses strongly on the humane aspect of his tracks, both with more home-listening oriented tunes (such as his collaborations with the female singer Tone or in duo with Karsten Pflum unier he “A Dying User” name) and efficient, exhilarating dancefloor material.

Balkansky

…Ivan Shopov started the Balkansky project in 2008, first focusing on slower, heavier dubstep (for example with the “Adhesion” album with Loop Stepwalker for Ad Noiseam) then slowly integrating ethnic and accoustic elements and paying homage to his native Bulgaria on two highly regarded albums (“Kuker” and “Orenda”).

Monster-X

Professional radio / tv sound designer by day, electro-breakcore mentalist by night, this smiling misfit has caused so much recent mayhem in his hometown of Grenoble (France), that only London could take him. Since arriving here, he’s already torn up the Interakt electro party, Yardcore, north London’s ill FM show, and various events across Europe including the Riddim Collision Festival 2007 with Plaid, Scorn and Enduser.

Mobthrow

A master at combining sounds from very different sources, from lo-fi rock samples to very modern, highly produced modern tones, Mobthrow has been praised for his remarkably organic yet modern music, which combine deep introspection and sheer energy, as demonstrated masterfully both on his eponymous album and on stage.

Gore Tech

Gore Tech’s seizure inducing sound can only be described as Ragga Deathstep, utilizing the archetypal sounds of Dub, Hardcore and Dancehall and Crossbreed with Heavy Metal time signatures and overdriven subsonic force. Influenced by everything from Electric Wizard to DJ Shadow, his style is still yet to settle into an established grove. Currently focusing on the well produced styles of crossbreed and breakcore mutations…

Igorrr

Citing 17th century classical music and death metal as his main influences, he insolently mixed the fastest of breakcore with the most elegant of baroque compositions, grindcore screams and absurd, everyday life samples. The best part? It all fits perfectly together, for a particularly exhilirating result. Crowds after crowds can not be wrong: since the release of “Nostril” on Ad Noiseam in 2010, Igorrr has become a very sought-after act, playing every week all across Europe.

Mono.Xid

In the Year 2008 Mono.Xid became a producer of his own tracks, in which he is not subjugate any dogma or trends. That is also the answer to his DJ-Sets and his Productions. With the mood of the Crowd his Sets are growing and unfolding there atmospheric, deep loop – tools to groovy funk monsters to become Peak Time Bombs which convulse every dancefloor.

Drum Kid

Ivan Shopov will be under the spot light four times during Burn The Machine 2013, as we felt that the scope of his talent needed time to be understood. He will perform on Friday (November 1st) in the Ad Noiseam as Balkansky, on Saturday (November 2nd) in the Subdivision room as Cooh and in the techno room as Drum Kid. Finally, you will also be able to learn audio productions techniques from him with a repeat of last year’s very interesting workshops on the Saturday afternoon.

Rory St John

Rory St John, one of the emerging talents from Dublin’s budding electronic music scene, is the maker of future influenced dancefloor and non-dancefloor music alike. Heavily influenced by the purity of the techno sound, his previous releases have been along the same vein.

Hanno Hinkelbein

Hanno Hinkelbein is a well known dog around town when it comes to techno djs.
His strong taste for punk and distortion has gotten him a name for surprising and fresh techno sets that draw their energy rather from diversity than repetition. Being a resident at Killekill and Acid ist fertig has gotten him a reputation as a pretty daft acid dj as well.

Bill Youngman

Dropping beats like bombs and weaving tsunamis of synth lines, he tops off his abstract and off-kilter techno sounds with authentic NYC hip hop elements: beat-boxing, freestyling and hyping up the crowd on the mic. Adhering to a rigid policy of quality over quantity, Youngman hand crafts his releases to perfection before permitting listening by the general public, a testament to the love and dedication this artist has to his creations.

D.A.V.E The Drummer

Anyone who’s been into Techno Music for the last 10 years or so will probably have stumbled across one of Dave The Drummer’s records. He’s one of the key producers behind the Acid Techno Sound of London in the 1990′s and owner of one of the best known techno labels in the world “Hydraulix”

For the past 15 years D.A.V.E. has been DJ’ing from his vast catalogue of tracks all over the world. As a DJ He has a reputation for being innovative and sharp on the turntables, and now, playing with Traktor Scratch and Cross by MixVibes with an armload of fresh, new, unreleased material, his DJ sets have become explosive
