Leonard Cohen’s not dead, but somehow these guys have stolen his soul and put it to their own purpose.
Mysterious and full of lost-highway meanderings, Californian act Dead Western are the Sisters of Mercy of the alt-country set. Devastatingly desolate, but at the same time passing by moments that are quite lovely, band leader and vocalist Troy Mighty has captured middle-americana with a voice that haunts back to classic blues and the sounds of classic country singers such as Tex Ritter.
Playing here in Berlin at Villa Neukölln, Dead Western will be playing a gig where they will be presenting to you personally their new album, Everything, Eternally. Tickets are going for €8 and the album will be on sale at the show.
