You know that summer is finally here when Fete De La Musique finally descends once again in Berlin. Being able to wander the streets right across the city and find live music being performed on any half decent street corner with a beer or Club Mate in hand, this is what you came here for, just perfect and totally Berlin.
Sure, some of the acts are pretty dubious in terms of quality, it’s not for no reason that some of them don’t get booked in any actual venues, but you can definitely catch some real gems. Toro Camino were my highlight for last year, hopfully we can top them this time round.
There’s some stuff in the program that’s not really Blitzgigs enough for us, so we’ve chopped it out (Choirs, classical, Tuvian throat singing etc) and you can find our version of the program here: http://www.blitzgigs.de/2012/06/21/.
