Ben Sherman present their second edition of VIP (Very Important Plectrums), an online
auction of plectrums donated by iconic artists, with all proceeds going to charity. The auctions begin on May 29th.
This year, proceeds will go to Trekstock, whilst still in its infancy, has been making big waves and big money for some very worthy causes: striving to support young people living with cancer through collaborative efforts with the industries and stars of music and fashion; and Lifebeat, a non-profit organisation dedicated to using the power of music and the music industry to help educate young people about HIV/AIDS prevention.
To launch proceedings Ben Sherman are hosting a series three gigs in London, Berlin, and New York. The Rifles will play an acoustic show (probably the same one they will be playing on May 19th at the Magnet) supported by Crash:Conspiracy. I really recommend the latter. Crash:Conspiracy are an indie-electro band founded by former Blackmail singer Aydo Abay.
Tickets are free but donations are requested. Tickets can be picked up at the Ben Sherman Flagstore at Rosenthalerstrae 31 (near S Hackescher Markt).
