Is it Christmas already? Not quite, but this is just as good (or even better because you don’t have to bring your family unless you want to). Local record label City Slang will be hosting a Christmas Ball at Lido. Well, it’s not an actual ball but you’re gonna have a ball at this one because some of City Slang’s best will be performing live. Cherilyn MacNeil of Dear Reader will bring a special guest, Matthew Caws of Nada Surf will play a solo show and Dan Mangan, whom Olga interviewed this summer, will also be there. Added late to the lineup are folk-rock standouts Fruit Bats with their special guests Golden Leaves.
