The Clean Mr.Lazypop
In 1981, in Dunedin, New Zealand, a fan of the Clean founded the Flying Nun label to release their first single, “Tally Ho.” The rest as they say is history……..only it wasn’t because The Clean were never really that band who got it together properly and the result of this is them, a handful of records into their “career”, releasing “Mister Pop” in 2009, their latest slice of skewed indie pop music, the kind of music you’ve been missing before you ever knew what it sounded like, a band who still sound like they could surprise you even though at their age they probably ought to know better. Good on ‘em.
