Returning to play first will be one of my favourite acts of the year, Man Meets Bear. The project of Canadian Soren Brothers, Man Meets Bear played once already in April, and when thinking of who to get for this last show of 2012, before we all disappear into a giant black hole piloted by a smartphone 21 billion times heavier than our own sun – on Dec 21, no less – I thought who better than a lake scientist who sidelines in extremely arresting sonic folk songs.
