Nordlicht Klub, the brainchild of Fr Records from Berlin, kicks off the latest in it’s series of short four day tours through East and West Germany which brings you the latest up and coming Scandinavian bands and this week’s tour looks like being one to remember with excellent Danes The Broken Beats and Captain Casanova.
The Broken Beats is the artistic vision of Kim Munk who since 2001 has variously presented his classic pop-rock to the world in varying line-ups, be they three or four or five members, all the way up to a sprawling seventeen musicians onstage which, you would imagine, involved a fair amount of mayhem and brilliant chaos. After several great records, followed by a recent break, Munk is taking The Broken Beats back on the road…look out Germany.
Here’s a couple of Broken Beats for you, The Rules and
Captain Casanova are a five piece lo-fi rock outfit who formed only last year and, in fact they’re still so new they’re only just about to release their debut 7″ If You Come Around Here soon on Fr Records.
