If you’re at all a rock & roll fan, Dick Dale is your mecca, you must make the pilgrimage at least once. Lucky you, humble resident or guest of Berlin, the god of surf rock himself comes to Berlin to shred guitar, steal hearts, blow minds and to cause cliches to to thrown in the air with wild abandon.
I saw this guy play years ago at a television talk show filming where he was a guest and sat down for an interview and all that stuff and at the end he played a track and upon closing showed everyone the pick he’d used and it was all worn down and almost melted. From one song! The guy’s just a maniac and awesome and one day when I grow up I want to be exactly like him.
The venue he’s playing at is wicked too, a rockabilly super-club, Roadrunners Club is somewhere to visit if you haven’t already and somewhere to take visitors from out of town, if you want to impress them.
