We’re not normally too into techno parties, what with us being all about guitars and groupies and tumbling out of gigs with ringing ears and a 7″ in hand, but we do like a good venue and Morlox is one of the best here. And since they’ve got a nice party coming up, we thought we could invite you. We care because you do.
Morlox is one of our favourite places in Berlin, a decrepit old factory space in the arse-end of Friedrichshain, it’s a little bit of a secret, we’re being pretty fucking audacious to even share it with you.
Miau V is the name of the party, featuring a very decent lineup of tech-house minimal DJs. Even if you’re not up for any of those carryings-on, there’s heaps of other little rooms there where you can just sit around and drink cheap beers. Which is something else we find ourselves often fascinated by.
If you’re finished with your gig for the night and you’re looking for somewhere to kick on, Miau V at Morlox Club is just the thing: a broken down party full of nicely broken down people, checking out very carefully built up and constructed tunes.
Here’s the set list:
- Simon Beeston (Highgrade Records)
- Hoito (TWB/SCF)
- NiceTry (Limikola/DegSchaltkreis)
- Chris Kruit (Chef De Cuisine)
- Victor Laffleur (Chef De Cuisine)
- Jason Wilding (Miau/Tinpot)
…and it only costs the same as what Monarch would be charging to get in anyway.
