The Pipettes out of Britain hit Lido for a big night of classic sounding girl pop, their backing band The Cassettes invarioubly in tow. Which is great news, since now I might have a chance to ask them out on dates and get married with them and live our lives happily ever after together. All of us. Yes, all. A boy can dream.
The new album from them, Earth vs Pipettes, has yet to have a release date set, but this year is the story. But really, we’re kind of running out of this year to release anything in. Here’s an advance single, it’s a bit light sounding through the first 20 secs, stick with it though, it’s a grower:
