You being the type to like your fun lowbrow, you’ll agree that squat parties are one of the best things about Berlin, right next to world class beers at budget prices and riding bicycles home from the pub on a Saturday night half pissed and tumbling off every ten meters. Right next to those couple of things, squat parties are one of the best things about Berlin.
The lovely kids at New Yorck 59 are putting on a splendid example with a bunch of great bands and DJs, with, I’m sure, world class beers at budget prices and the opportunity to ride your bike home half pissed, making the night a well rounded one.
The night’s headlined by Glasgow band Punch & the Apostles, who are for you if you like crazed circus music made punk. Here’s a vid of them playing at Reading Festival last year:
Wicked! The party’s been put together in support of another amazing housing project, Rigaer 105. The squat scene in Berlin is more and more under threat, with the absurdly amazing Tacheles recently been given it’s marching orders, get into it and show your support.
