They’ve had a rough year, what with not-so-neighbourly complaints from neighbours making it so that their gigs have to end very early as well as the ever present fear that they’re at any moment going to be evicted but Schokoladen is still one of the best venues in the city and they deserve a good party. Through all the shit, they’ve got a lot to celebrate and their contribution to the live music scene here in Berlin is not only admirable, it’s something that anyone with even a passing interest in live music in this city, from punters to promoters to performers, should be grateful for.

Your full lineup guide to the Schokoladen 21st Birthday festival is below. Gigs in the courtyard kick off daily from 6pm with the party running through the night with DJs closing each day at the bar. The festival runs from the 15th to the 17th of July. Free entry because not only are they noble spirits at Schokoladen but kindhearted ones also.
