It must be the season for classic experimental indie rock, what with Primus just having left the stadium and now with Dead Kennedys’ front man Jello Biafra making it to Berlin for a gig at Astra Kulturhaus.
This is a man with enough of a lust for political dstabilisation that he may as well make a home here, how welcome the guy is going to be amongst Berlin’s resident population of radicalists and anarcho-antifacists, not even mentioning that anything from the Kennedys is right up there as bedtime music for even the least politically inclined of Berlin punks.
Not shying away from his political sensibilties with age and certainly not getting any more sedate musically, in fact quite the opposite, Herr Biafra brings himself to Berlin in his his latest punk incarnation, and he has had a few incarnations, Jello Biafra and the Guantanamo School of Medicine.
