With the completely miserable weather we’ve been enjoying over the past couple of weeks, I cant suggest anything better to you for your Sunday night than to find some music to wallow in depression to.
Thanks, or no-thanks depending on how you look at it, to the kids at Death Disco, British post-punk/shoegaze band KVB are back in Berlin for a gig at King Kong Club, supported by DJs Ian P. Christ, NecroPhil and the usual amazing crowd that shows up to gigs as enthusiastically morose as this.
The sound is like the really black end of Pornography era Cure with liberal lashings of The Soft Moon, A Place To Bury Strangers and Joy Division thrown into the mix. That’s if we had to name-drop that is, they’re actually good enough so that its a bit rude of us to do that. But if that’s the rudest thing we’ve done today then we’re doing pretty well. I’d say.
