British deviant rockers Girls Girls Girls sing dirty songs loudly with wierdo musicality and cater to a very specific audience. Not to suggest that their specific audience is a small one, the market for songs about love gone wrong with loose women of low moral standing is quite a big one on a Saturday night, especially after everyone has had a few beers. Anyway, all the best parties are full of those types of people and knowing that fact, puts you right in the middle of the very specific audience that Girls Girls Girls attracts. Lucky you.
Playing here in Berlin at Trickster (the basement under Wendel at Schlessiches Tor) supported by, the always wonderfully attired and groomed, The Feminists. A group of gents who really need no introduction. So we will anyway…
The Feminists formed on a wet wednesday afternoon in 2009, when they had run out of ciggies and needed something to do. Doktor Tranny, Judith die Zunge and Holly Bastard found themselves performing at a great altar to a discarded Goddess, and thus was the legend born. When they discovered streetwalker and failed glamour model Samantha Fuchs speaking to herself on a street corner in 2010, they invited her onboard the good ship Feminists, and the addition of electronics wizard Ms. Gyver ensured that the Feminists became a powerful and technologically informed force for good.
