A little while ago someone was trying to spruik a band to me some band calling them “brit-pop revival” and after hearing them say this I was started wondering whether a brit-pop revival really was coming or whether that person just had a Libertines CD on repeat while they came up with their new pitch when they probably shouldn’t've.
Then along comes London act Tribes with a show here in Berlin and I’m listening to the material and I’m thinking, yes, there really is a British pop revival coming. Listen to these guys, they really sound like the cool bits from the back pages of NME.
Beatles and Verve with a bit of a punk swagger thrown in, they only formed 2010 so if there really is a new wave of British indie coming, these guys might be a mob to keep an eye on.
