Punk for the people is their mantra and punk is what the people shall have. Seattle based garage punk legends The Spits have tirelessly battled the evil forces of ‘the man’ and have put out a steady stream of progressively more amazing albums since their first releases around 2000. It’s not a fight that’s quickly over or easily won, but luckily the Spits are in it for the long run, the newest album from them made it out of the studio just last year. Like the rest of them it’s self titled, but you can count (can you count?) it as number 5 released October last year.
Playing a super rare gig here in Berlin, the Spits jump on the stage at the Festsaal with a massive lineup presented by Blitzgigs.de.
Hunx & His Punx out of San Francisco play as an all girl lineup except they’ve got a man as front girl, which sounds more confusing than it actually is and the music is completely ace and you should get into it, if you haven’t already. Berlin act The Black Jaspers open up the night as a gag act that just happened to be awesome formed between members of The Moorat Fingers and King Khan, legendary front man of King Khan and the Shrines.
