It’s only fair that after the original break up of Death From Above 1979 that some other band would kind of take up that energy and make something of it. Make something powerful. Sure, Death From Above are back, but they’re only going to be playing massive rooms now and that’s just not what the sound is all about, it’s a sound for sweaty loud clubs that are a bit secret full of sweaty loud kids that like being secretive. Not stadiums full of bored festival punters. Sorry, true. This is why DZ Deathrays are here at the right time, and with a show here in Berlin, the right place.
