Almost regular in Berlin enough that he’s going to have to start buying the locals beer in the pub, Damien Jurado (previously, review) has built up quite the little fanbase here over the past few years of visits. Fair enough too, his alt-folk story-telling is far more sensible than some of the hipster-folk clap-trap that’s been hoisted upon the years and his use of found-sounds gives the whole thing a dreaminess that is rarely captured by a solo artist. His songs are interesting although classic and he seems like a nice bloke, get along.
