The thing about the Berlin music scene is that everyone is so transient and the bass-player is just about to get on a plane to Italy, that it’s hard to keep up with who’s here and playing with at least a small view to hanging around and then on the other hand who’s just doing a summer stint here and spending all their trust-fund on vintage guitar pedals and Grlitzer Park drug deals. Good then that we’ve got the Ich Bin Ein Berliner festival (previously) to keep tabs on who’s doing some moving and shaking here, putting on a nice showcase once in a while of ace Berlin acts who are happy to be known as such.
This time round they’re featuring: Kool Thing (previously), Echo Vamper and N.U. Unruh along with DJs: Maria Ghoerls & Frank Popp, Tomski, Emmanuelle 5, David Maars. MC’ing from Andreas Schwarz and visuals from Tulip Arts Project. The whole thing is massive and punky and queer and totally Berlin and everything will be staying that way till morning.
