Micachu & the Shapes front woman Mica Levi has never been one to shy away from the adventurous. The new album from them, simply titled Never is not just a small example of that, but a great roaring and extravagant one, throttled noisiness riding over pop hooks that make it into instant-favourite status, out July 23rd it’s headed already into being one of the years great albums.
Headlining another episode of Saalfest at Festsaal Kreuzberg, Micachu & the Shapes will be joined by Warp records wunderkind KWES, also with a new recording out, May 2012′s Meantime EP. DJ’s on the night from the Urban Mutations kids as well as Micachu herself. All very exciting and not something easily dismissed.
